Massanutten Lodge at Skyland in October snow.
The Winter started with a surprise October snow in the Blue Ridge Mountains. People who came to Shenandoah National Park to see the leaves got to see an early Winter wonderland. Skyland Lodge was full of Autumn guests.
A hike on the Passamaquoddy Trail turned into a snowy experience.

Around Big Meadows and Skyland, snow was plentiful.
Along much of the Drive the trees were still turning color...
...and the Valley below still looked like Autumn.
